The Burden of a Canon, the delight of an I Can!

Have I ever told you about the relationship between cameras and bathrooms that has developed in my life?  Remember Guatemala?  If you haven't heard the story, ask me, our blog is not the right place to share the story...:-)

canonWe have lost our camera.  If you know us, you know this is a very big deal!  We took it to church on Sunday morning to take pictures of our class members for our class directory.  Well, it never made it to class.  Somewhere between the nursery and our class, it went missing.  So far it has not turned up in lost and found.  Pray that it does.  We are sick over it.

safety-1st-potty-n-step-stool A very funny story.  Last night, as we always do, I put Drew on the big potty so he could try to 'go'.  As always, he said, "I can't I can't, I am all done, I can't I can't".  Then, unique to last night, he pointed at his little training potty and said, "I want to use that one."  So, of course I obliged and quickly moved him.  Well, don't you know, he immediately started into his, "I can't I can't I can't", and then, the funniest thing happen.  He got this huge grin and proclaimed proudly, "I can!"

Loved the potty story about I can't and I can! It reminded me again today as I led another Bible study... We have been memorizing Psalm 40:1-3 and I told the girls - if you say, "I can't"... replace it with, "But God can." I then tell them, "Then - ask Him to learn it FOR you." He will do just that. He loves it when we ask and He is faithful!
